Speaker Bio
Bashar Rasheed was born in 1974 in Ankara, Turkey. In 1988, he joined the Pakistan Navy and completed bachelor’s degrees in naval sciences, operations and supply chain management.
After distinguished military service, including roles with the chief of naval staff and National Defence University, Bashar transitioned to the corporate world and worked with prestigious multinationals such as Philips, ICI and AkzoNobel in global and leadership roles. His extensive work with EFQM’s excellence model and management frameworks led him to work with diverse functions (e.g., business management, strategy, HR, process engineering, operations and supply chain). Bashar excels at simplifying complexity, managing change and improving organizational performance.
At Midas Safety, the world’s leading private-label glove manufacturer, Bashar orchestrated a strategic turnaround as the general manager clothing division to transform the complex business operations from historic losses to sustainable profitability. He was then appointed as general manager business excellence to implement the same approach groupwide. Currently, as global head of HR, Bashar is working on cultural integration, leadership pipelines and aligning organizational structure with business strategy.
Beyond the boardroom, Bashar is an avid reader and loves the arts and music. His obsession with change led to a diploma in neuroscience. As a trainer and guest speaker at leading institutions, he loves to simplify how the brain functions and explain how neuroplasticity and habits can rewire mindsets.
